Wow! I can't believe it's 2009 already. It seems '08 went by in a big blur. I hope everyone had a great holiday. A & Z had an amazing Christmas stretched over 2 days of present overload. We had a great time entertaining Heath's side of the family on Christmas Eve. Heath made a huge batch of yummy red beans and rice--his specialty. We had a cookie exchange and all voted on the cookie that reigned supreme. It was Michael's chocolate chip snowballs. I got the recipe though!
Right now I'm up to my eyeballs in craft and home decor projects. It only took me 6 months, but we've finally taken down almost all of the paper blinds on the windows. Thanks to a generous gift card and some thrifty shopping and sewing work, I have new curtains in three rooms. I have two more windows yet to do. I did make my own curtains out of two fancy shower curtains to match our bedroom. They cover up the patio doors in our room. I also got a kickin' scrapbook cutting machine for Christmas and I am scrapbooking my fingers to the bone. So much fun. I have big vinyl plans for our giant wall in the great room.

We had an awesome visit with Gran-Lo, Heath's mom. She left yesterday and we are so sad to not have her here. She is so much fun and ever the rock for me.
